Bo Carter
Grazing Operations Lead
Bo has been raising and managing livestock out of Oconee County for years — goats, sheep, rotational grazing, sawmill work, the whole picture. He leads all grazing operations at Soul Miner's Eden, manages the animals, designs grazing plans, and works directly with solar site operators and property managers.
Mike Usry
Founder
Entrepreneur, soil biology nerd, and former UGA football letterman. Mike built Southland Organics on the conviction that biology beats chemistry — then put 65 acres on the line to prove it. He handles the business side of the farm: pricing, contracts, scheduling, and the vision that ties compost, livestock, and solar grazing into one operation.
Matt Austin
Landscape Supply & Delivery
Matt runs the landscape supply side of the operation — compost screening, mulch production, loading, and delivery logistics across the Athens area. If a supersack shows up at your job site on time, that was Matt.
Ayn Parker Usry
Social Media & Brand
Mike and Karin's daughter. Ayn Parker manages the Soul Miner's Eden Instagram, curates the visual identity of the farm online, and makes sure every post is beautiful first. She's the voice behind @soulminerseden.
Andi Ausborn
Customer Service & Sales
Andi is the first voice you'll hear when you call the farm. She handles customer inquiries, processes orders, and coordinates between the supply yard, the delivery schedule, and you.
Harper Austin
Animal Care
Matt's daughter. Harper has a gift with the animals — she's calm, patient, and always paying attention. If something's off with one of the sheep or a hen's acting funny, Harper notices first. Between her and Riley, nothing on four legs goes unnoticed.
Riley Austin
Animal Care
Matt's daughter and Harper's sister. Riley is one of the farm's most dedicated animal caretakers — she's out with the livestock before most people are out of bed. If a lamb needs bottle-feeding or a hen's gone broody, Riley's already on it.
Brandt Usry
Farm Hand
Ayn Parker's little brother. Brandt can sometimes be spotted behind the wheel of the large wheel loader — looking very serious about it — or out feeding cows like he's been doing it for decades. He hasn't. But don't tell him that.
Sharon Lichey
Grammy
Grammy keeps the farm kitchen running and the family fed. If there's farmers cheese being pressed, bone broth simmering, or elderberry syrup being bottled, Sharon's behind it. She's also the unofficial quality control department for anything that comes out of the oven.
Karin Usry
Co-Founder & Operations
Karin keeps the entire operation running — accounts, logistics, customer service, scheduling, all of it. She won't go near the animals, but hand her what comes back from the processor and she'll turn it into farmers cheese, bone broth, and things you didn't know you needed. The livestock are Bo's department. The kitchen is hers.
