Sweet Potato Hummus

A Perfect Snack Time Addition: Sweet Potato Hummus

Looking for something to appeal to all your tastebuds? Salty. Sweet. Spicy. Sour. Everything you could want all in one dip!

We all know hummus is a crowd pleaser. Why not change things up with this superfood-packed spin on the Mediterranean classic?! The recipe is simple, and the results are a perfect snack time addition.

Make this and pull out a deck of cards or your favorite board game for some quality time around the table as a family. After all, that’s what food is all about. Let’s spend some time together this week and not just nourish our bodies but our relationships, our minds and our souls.


Prick potatoes several times with fork and place in the microwave until soft, about 12 minutes. Flip the potatoes half way through. Let cool.

Combine tahini and olive oil in bowl. Set aside.  

Cut potatoes and scoop out the middle into a food processor. Process potatoes, water, lemon juice, garlic, paprika, ¾ teaspoon salt, coriander, cumin, and chili powder until completely smooth.  With processor still running, slowly add tahini mixture until mixed.  Transfer to bowl and let sit for 30 minutes to let flavors meld together.  

Enjoy with crackers or chips!
