The seasons are changing and that means it is time to break out our favorite holiday recipes. Fall and the holiday season brings with it changing leaves, knitted sweaters, and pumpkin spice. As if these are not enough reasons to love this season, our perfect Cocoa Banana Mini Loaves are sure to become yet another holiday staple in your home, as it already has in ours. 

This recipe puts a decadent twist on a classic dessert we all know and love. The perfect combination of chocolate and banana is an absolute showstopper for your next family dinner or office party; not to mention a tasty treat for neighbors, teachers, and friends. 

Whether you are gathering your family around the dinner table or just looking for a delicious fall snack, these Mini Loaves are sure to become your new favorite way to get rid of those over ripe bananas on your counter.


Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Add flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in bowl and mix well. Set aside.

Put bananas and sugar in a bowl and mash together (or use mixer) until completely combined.

Add the butter, eggs and vanilla extract to the banana mixture and mix well.

Slowly add the flour mixture a little at a time and mix by hand until well combined.

If using nuts, add in the nuts.

Pour the mixture into the prepared pan(s).

Bake until firm in the center and a toothpick inserted is clean. 35-40 minutes for mini loaves and 60 minutes for standard pan.
