Looking for a sweet way to start your weekend? We have you covered. These tasty treats are decadent, yet the whole grain pancakes make them feel a little less indulgent. Serve with peanut butter and put on your favorite 50s tune, and you’ll be dancing through your Saturday! 

Instructions

  • Pancakes:
  • Mix dry ingredients in large bowl
  • In a smaller bowl or large liquid measuring cup, whisk buttermilk, melted butter and eggs together until combined
  • Slowly add wet ingredients to dry ingredients, whisking constantly
  • Cook on buttered skillet or nonstick griddle
  • Serve topped with melted peanut butter and bananas foster.
  • Bananas Foster:
  • Slice bananas into ¼ inch thick rings
  • In a saucepan over medium-low heat, melt butter then add bananas and watch until they begin to soften. 
  • Flip slices and add brown sugar and spices
  • Allow liquids to become syrupy, then remove from heat.
