This quick and easy appetizer is so beautiful your guests will wonder if you had it catered! Elegant asparagus spears wrapped in scrumptious bacon entice even the pickiest eaters. Try it as an appetizer or side dish at your next dinner with friends.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Divide asparagus into bundles (about 3-4 pieces per bundle). Wrap 1 piece of bacon around each bundle. Secure bundle and bacon with a toothpick. Place asparagus bundles in a baking pan.
In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, soy sauce, and garlic salt. Heat the mixture until boiling. Stir often. Once heated, pour mixture over asparagus bundles. Sprinkle with fresh ground pepper.
Bake 25 minutes or until bacon is cooked.
Garnish with sliced green onions, optional.
